About DriveDeck
DriveDeck is a car research and shortlisting assistant that helps UK buyers go from a confusing sea of online listings to a confident, well-informed decision. Instead of juggling browser tabs, spreadsheets and sticky notes, you paste a listing link from AutoTrader, eBay Motors, Gumtree, Facebook Marketplace or almost anywhere else — or run a live eBay search by make, model and budget — and DriveDeck does the heavy lifting for you.
Every car you add is automatically scanned for its specifications, running costs and history. DriveDeck extracts the make, model, year, mileage, fuel and transmission, estimates MPG, CO2 emissions, road tax band and insurance group, looks up MOT status and outstanding DVSA recalls, and pulls together a clear set of pros and cons. Each car then receives a 0–100 buy-score, and your whole shortlist is ranked on a leaderboard so the strongest deal rises to the top. You can compare cars side by side, plan a viewing route on a map, track your progress from shortlisted to purchased, and share your shortlist with anyone using a private link.
DriveDeck is built for used-car buyers who want to do their homework without spending hours on it — whether you're chasing a low-mileage family hatchback, a weekend sports car or a first car for a new driver. It's a B2C tool made by an independent team focused on making car buying more transparent, data-driven and far less stressful.

Why trust DriveDeck?
The numbers on DriveDeck come from real sources. MOT status, advisories and outstanding recalls are read from the official DVSA MOT History service, and the specifications, mileage, price and photos come straight from the listing you pasted — not from a generic model database. Where a figure is an estimate, such as market value or insurance group, we label it as one instead of passing a guess off as fact.

Frequently asked questions
Is DriveDeck free?
Yes. Adding listings, scanning them, comparing cars and checking MOT status are all free, with no card required. Optional paid extras, such as a full VRM Check UK vehicle history check, are bought separately.
Which listing sites does it support?
Paste a link from AutoTrader, eBay Motors, Gumtree, Facebook Marketplace, PistonHeads, CarGurus, Motors.co.uk, Copart and most other car listing sites — DriveDeck reads the page and extracts the details. You can also run a live eBay search by make, model, budget and mileage.
How is the buy-score calculated?
Every listing is scored 0-100 on overall buy-worthiness. The score weighs the asking price against an estimated market value for that exact spec, then factors in age, mileage, MOT expiry and advisories, running costs such as road tax, CO2 and MPG, salvage history, seller type and listing quality. Scores of 75+ are strong, 55-74 are fair, and below 55 suggests caution.
Where does the MOT and running-cost data come from?
MOT status, advisories and outstanding DVSA recalls come from the official DVSA MOT History service, and the specifications, mileage, price and photos come from the real listing you pasted. Where a figure is an estimate — market value or insurance group, for example — it is labelled as one.
